Australia Post - Maylands LPO, Maylands WA

I went in today and asked about buying a P.o. box for 12 months. I previously went to another Australia Post store where they said it was $140 for 12 months at Maylands. Waited 20 minutes to ask the girl and she grabbed another staff member who said “you can’t do it for 12 months, it runs from 1st April to 31st March so you’ll have to pay for around 14 months”. I asked how much that was and they couldn’t give me an answer. When I looked online and went to the other Australia Post store they said NOTHING about the 1st April to 31st March rule. When I look on the Australia Post website regarding P.o. boxes it says “to suit your duration”. The girl then said to me in response “you should come back in April” - it’s January??? If this ridiculous rule is true, why wouldn’t it run 1st Jan- 31st December? I need it as my family have moved interstate and have only directed their mail for six months. Pretty upset with the staff and the service. They’re all clueless and have zero idea. Wouldn’t go there again and have decided to go elsewhere for the P.o. box.

every single time I got a delivery from this post office they don't even knock on the door, they just leave a note... Today was not different, I can say that happened more than 5 times already. UPDATE: it happened again, 6 times. UPDATE: 7 times

Ridiculous customer service! I asked some questions regarding the package I sent but they said to me We don’t know and said again and again call to head office. If you are making a money or doing some business you should know something and answer at list a minimum. And finally said to me you can complain to a head office.😖

I absolutely love the staff here at Maylands Australia Post. Honestly, the customer service I receive is so efficient and I can always rely on the staff to give me the best advice on postage when needed. I am so happy to walk in and receive such a warm welcome no matter how busy the store may get.... and it definitely has more traffic in comparison to other Post Offices I have seen. Saying thank you in writing is the very least I can do to show my appreciation!

Typical main st Australia Post outlet, crowded with heaps of items throughout the premises. Hard to find where to line up. They follow Auspost rules to the letter of the requirements, other posts on here being critical is unfair, as they're simply doing their job. Too much clutter was the only reason I downgraded score.

I don't understand why your delivery drivers insist on leaving the pickup note as opposed to just knocking on the door like they're supposed to. I constantly need to collect parcels when I was home all day. Is it just pure laziness?

My courier was waiting there, i went twice and all the time he is answering it's not here. O star specially for that adult guy. Don't expect smiling face or greeting.

The customer service here is disgusting. Always rude and unfriendly. Parcels go missing or returned very often. Unreliable Australia Post branch. Improve your services or hand over to people who are more capable at running the place.

The Maylands post office is always happy to help however it is a very small post office so can get very crowded and busy with long waits many times. There is an entrance from the rear with a car park or from Eighth Avenue at the front. There is a mailbox out the front should you wish to post any mail rather than going into the post office and they also have post office boxes at the front on Eighth Avenue and at the rear where the car park is. They stock most products including satchels and boxes and padded envelope for mailing fragile items. They also sell cards such as birthday or greeting cards and you can renew your passport there also as they have all the relevant paperwork. I only give a 3 out of 5 star rating for the fact that there can be very long wait times, and the staff behind the counter at least 95% of the time they are abrupt and not friendly. Sometimes different staff are there and they don't seem to know what they're doing. That maybe just the case of extra staff being on when it's busy and they are not trained correctly or it could be anything. That's my only negative feedback otherwise just like a normal post office but small. If you're in a rush or on your lunch break probably not a good post office to go to the being so busy

Convenient local branch. My parcels end up here due to being in an apartment complex. Bike posties aren't allowed to leave their bike so they can't bring parcels to my door. Staff here are helpful and I've never experienced a wait (although I usually avoid peak times) They don't open Sundays which is fair enough as they are a small local office. They do open until 12 on Saturdays. Post offices have had centralised numbers for a few years now, so anyone complainging about slow phones should be glad that the direct number gets answered at all. Calls are normally routed through AusPost contact centre which also offers live chat online if you don't want to wait on hold.
