Tried to renew a passport here today we were told we had the wrong birth certificate. Headed to corio village and the staff there said it was the correct birth certificate. She also noticed Lara post office had incorrectly taken the photo. So corio post office retook the photo. I had to give a one star rating to express my anger. It deserves no stars. Staff were also very rude.

I went in twice this week posted Christmas cards interstate with the Australia Post Christmas stamps that are only 65 cents. Today my wife goes in to post Christmas cards interstate also the lady was so rude told my wife there is no such thing as 65 cent stamp for Christmas cards, only the normal $1.10 stamps. When my wife asked the question how come your staff members gave my husband 65 cent stamps twice this week for Christmas cards. Staff member replied in a rude manner well come on give me a description of which staff members served him. Then as always no customer service she gave my wife the 65 cent stamps after several minutes of arguing the point with her. All other Australia Post Offices always put the stamps on cards, letters etc not at Lara Post Office they treat their customers like transactions all the time. I will be contacting Australia Post Head Office over lack of customer & knowledge of their products. We since found out the staff member was wrong Australia Post are doing a 65 cent stamps promotion for Christmas cards over the Christmas period!

Have used the Lara LPO for many years now. Staff are consistently kind, friendly and helpful. A busy shop since Lara has expanded, but the small team manage to keep it running smoothly.

Went to collect parcel and when presented slip the worker said they don't have the parcel. When challenged they simply went and got it. Appeared to me to be a scam or extremely lazy. Person also had no manners. Avoid.

The staff here is so rude and unwilling to help. I was inside the post office at 4:50, and as soon as i entered, I said hello to the staff and told them I’ll be quick, as I am aware the store closes at 5. The staff did not reply and kept on giving me dirty looks. I finished packing and went up to the counter to pay(Still before 5) Where upon asking the price difference for postage methods, the staff told me they dont have time to play games. As we were having the conversation time was 5:02 and staff then told me they cant post it for me & I need to leave. I didnt arugue but as i was getting my things to leave, A man there literally physically intimidated me into leaving the store. He was a tall man and kept on yelling at me that “they need to go home” as I was leaving. I’ve been to many Ausposts before and I have seen that they close the doors at 5 and then go on to assist customers that are already inside the store rather than asking them to leave with their ready made parcels as its 5:02. I am definitely bringing this up with their head office to ask what’s thier policy in this situation and how are they training their staff. Staff like this needs training.

Willingly and knowingly overchage for flat rate post. I send all the time from other post offices, i came here and they were rude and insistent that all other post offices charge the wrong price. Even when shown proof from the Australian post website. A tiny parcel(15x15x15cm) under 300 grams and they wanted to charge for the price of something weighing almost 1kg. Never going there again and I suggest everyone else stays away aswell.

Overcharging! My wife went to post some art in a tube (which was already paid for) it weighed under 250grams and the lady tried to charge her for item over 500grams. she told my wife its charge by size not weight and every other Australia post is charging wrong. this is incorrect you are charged by weight not size in small parcels we have checked prices at 3 other post offices and have checked with an Australia post worker that we know to see what the correct price is for post. the lady serving was abrupt and rude scoffing at my wife when my wife mentioned that she was charged a different price at another post office. we have reported this matter to Australia post customer service. dont fall for any of there tricks at this post office.

Went to purchase x2 registered post envelopes to send important documentation, 1. language barrier was very difficult, 2. lady tried informing me to put my address on front, I looked at her confused and said never mind and took my envelopes and went to corio post, lady there explained everything much better. Just use corio from now on i think.

After politely asking for assistance to help me write a address onto a postal box while juggling my 6 month old baby The retail assistant told me to go write on it myself and bring the box back to her when finished. I only had one gentleman behind me who was waiting to be served Who kindly came over to assist me. Thank you to that man . A big thumbs down to the new owners and new staff of LPO

Poor experience when lodging a TFN request. All people in the Post office did not understand that a certified copy of a birth certificate was a legally recognised form of identification. Had to call the ATO just to lodge a complaint.

Worst customer service I've experienced. As someone who is new and unsure of returning packages, I received lack of help from the lady that served me. I was not welcomed with a smile or greeting and it seemed like she was uninterested in serving me. Definitely need better customer service.

The staff are friendly and helpful, yes - different to previous owners, a bit slower, no problems with service or post as far as I am concerned. If you're nice to people (especially in retail - coz they are people too) they are generally nice to you!

Dishonest.... partner went to collect a parcel ans was told he had to collect it the next day. He was then told they were open on Saturday morning and he would be able to collect the parcel then, only to turn up to find it closed. Makes it difficult for those that work 9-5 Monday to Friday.

Post office, has changed hands and find the customer service to be lacking. 8/10 times you don't get a hello. Once or twice i have had an older Gentleman look at my bill and has seen it's a reminder notice, stop what he was doing and tap the person next to him, point to my bill and say something in his language. The younger man look at him and said didn't pay her bill on time. Like it was any business of there's. Hay i loss my original one and had to wait for a new one to be sent out.

It's good and most are nice, but some workers are VERY nosy and will keep questioning you why you bought a lot of insurance, and what's inside the package. It's none of their business and they have no right to question. This has happened to me before.
