I have been to and posted from every post office in ballarat, unfortunately this one is the worst I have experienced, I don't like leaving bad reviews unless I am forced too. Staff in there have no respect for customers and seem to be inexperienced as the simplest of transactions takes the longest time and more often then not the shop is crammed full of people waiting. Another thing that upsets me is, I asked the gentleman at the counter about some prices and weighing and he was very rude and recommended a postage method that would have cost me more after asking him what would cost less. Absolutely terrible service since it was taken over, they can’t find our parcels, rude and unhelpful, not open on random days and ridiculous cues. Something needs to be done urgently to fix this, we are absolutely over it.

I received a package from overseas, I did not receive a collection card. My partner had been in the post office multiple times, we were not notified of the package and it was sent back overseas. I can see why all the bad reviews.

I have had the same experience and treatment from the same man. He is and always has been incredibly rude for absolutely no reason. I don't like going to this PO but I don't have much choice because of convenience, unfortunately. I don't know why ppl like that work with the public if they can't treat ppl with respect. I think he needs to have a good look at himself if he wants his business to be more successful. It won't be successful if he continues treating ppl disrespectfully. Shame on you sir!

Finally there are many people on here who have experienced the rude man who owns the post office and feel the same way as I have for years! He used to be at Alfredton post office before he moved to Lucas! I have numerous bad experiences with the man including one which made me report him to Australia Post. It was a few years back and an elderly lady was having difficult with her eftpos card and the newer machine. The man was so rude and impatient with the poor woman, I was appalled. He’s been nothing but rude to me personally as well. If I ever have to post something I go elsewhere, but don’t have much choice when picking up my parcels! It’s a bit sad when the one 5 star review is from a person with the same sirname as the owner (obviously a family member).

All COVID-19 safety standards in place, except the male service person wearing his mask with his nose hanging out. Other than that, service by the second employee present was efficient, if not particularly friendly. Easy access parking at the front of the store and plenty of additional parking (including handicapped spaces) at the rear.

I'm new to the area and was glad to have a post office so close, however the customer service is so poor and makes you feel uncomfortable. So I travel to Wendouree instead.. sad

As many of the other reviewers would agree, I had the same problem with the older man at the front being impatient and rude. Although I live closer to the Lucas Auspost, I will be going to the Wendouree Auspost, and the service is much better there.

My Parents recently moved into the area and i'd organised for a new NBN modem to be sent to the new address....Unfortunately on the day of settlement, Startrack turned up before the requested time and they immediately took it to Lucas Post office, That afternoon i fronted up to this post office and got the older gentleman other reviewers have spoken about....I got to the counter and said "hi i've got a package to collect which i missed before"....Before i had a chance to give him my name He barked a "well i don't know who you are?" response which kind of stunned me and i said "Well here's the slip and i have ID if you need it" He practically threw it at me and barks back "I don't need to see your ID".....Expensive piece of equipment and he's not going to crosscheck?? i work in customer service myself and was shocked at how rude he was, i hope someone at Aust post is reading these reviews as clearly im not the only one to have issues with him

What a rude, pethatic and below average customer service from the male running the Australia Post in LUCAS, VIC 3350. I had a return parcel paid by the company, therefore I was just in a need of an envelop which could be a simple plastic postage bag but this man suggested an expensive $30 odd dollars box which is an expensive option and upon inquiry of any cheaper option this guy got really annoyed and started eye balling and had a facial expressions that I feel very unwelcome. Nonetheless, I found myself a $1.50 bag which suffices the need and as expected experienced the most rude customer service at the counter. Unfortunately, the attitude is still the same whenever I encountered this guy. Therefore, this is going to be reported to Australia Post as an official complaint.

Beyond terrible, was notified four thirty Friday I had a parcel to collect, checked website, it stated open on Saturday till twelve. Arrived at eleven to find a note on the door, they were shut, no notification what so ever. The collection was for a present on Sunday. Very disappointed.

I have been using this post office since they opened and have not had a single problem with any staff or the services . I have however witnessed other customers acting abusive and irrational showing true arrogance and their entitled ego . Keep on battling guys , thumbs Up .
