The worst customer service ever. Understaffed, Indian woman at the counter looked miserable and unhappy when helping customers. Attempted to ask a question to another staff tending to display and she blew me off and said they are busy. Australia Post needs to majorly check their employees. Horrific

Such a rude attitude from a staff member called Vanitha. I donāt understand why most of the staff in this post office have such an attitude to every customer. I can only find the Chinese man is very nice and friendly. She literally just threw the receipt in front of me and make an aggressive face. I was being very nice to her and even said thank you after she threw that in front of me.

Asian staff are quite helpful and friendly, some of them speak Mandarin/Cantonese who could assist with local Chinese community. However every once in a while you may encounter a few local or Indian staff who donāt seem to care about the service and being rude regardless of customers from what background they are serving.

Despite othersā negative experiences, mine was pretty good here with the staff servicing accommodating and informative. I went there without my credit card to pay my bill, the staff apologised for the inconvenience causing mainly by the machine, which was totally understandable. They told me to come back soon with the card and they would help me with the process. I did return and paid my bill with the card. The staff was waiting for me, of course within the operating hour, and friendly helping me with all I needed. The only downside for me is probably the light in the store was relatively dark.

If I'm not home Monday to Friday. What's the point of leaving my parcel at the post office only open Monday to Friday???? Slow and lazy workers. Under staffed. Rude. LAZY SLOW. Shut it down or make it open on weekends and after hours. These incompetent people should at least work after hours to make up for their incompetence.

So Iām not usually one to leave bad reviews but my word was this place extraordinarily bad. The post office itself was fine, but what made this place a solid 1/5 stars for me was the staff. They were rude, lazy and just plain complacent. They serve you with the least amount of effort possible, with no semblance of kindness, understanding, or even the bare minimum required for customer service; a decent attitude. Whenever myself or other customers (from what I could observe) would politely, reasonably request for something they needed, it was as though the staffās automated response was ānope, sorry, canāt do itā, with little reason as to why (although, looking back at it now, the reason was probably that they simply couldnāt be bothered). So seriously, unless you want your day ruined, go to any other post office, because this one was just not it.

When I first came here like more than half a year ago, one of the Indian female staff that I was served with was rude to me. I wanted to go and get the mail I had that I wanted to send out stamped, and then she asked me what I was sending, I couldnāt hear what she said at first and then she raised her voice at me asking me the same question and then she wanted to touch the item with the envelope to see if itās really a card Iām sending. Seriously Iāve been to post offices within various locations many times before I came to this one and Iāve never had such experiences like that where anyone could ask me what I was sending and then having to touch the item along with the envelope in it. WOULD NOT COME BACK HERE AGAIN!! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

I would give them 0 stars if possible. There are always ridiculously long lines, which is understandable, but the staff are slow, inefficient and incompetent. They are also incredibly rude. The lady "assisting" me took 20 minutes to find my parcel and when she did, she threw it on the counter in front of me, despite the obvious "fragile" warning on it. When I later asked them for help across the counter, they completely ignored me as if they could not see me. The staff here have terrible attitudes and should not be working in customer service at all. Absolutely appalling service.

They took forever to attend you. The staff literally don't care of how long the queue is, they will not open another section to help you. They just like to take their time, it feels like they volunteer to work there or something. Aus Post need to hire younger staff to work more efficiently since it's inside Box Hill Central. There's only one Chinese male staff there that is nice and works fast.

Incredibly incompetent. Staff always take a long time to serve you and act as if you're an inconvenience to them. Recently, I went to pick up a package which two staff couldn't find. They told me that I didn't understand the collection text and that I had to return in 3 weeks despite me receiving both a text and email for collection. Eventually they found it and snapped at me telling me that I gave them the wrong surname despite me also giving them my licence which has my surname spelled. When I told them that I'd given them the correct surname, they snapped at me and shoved my parcel towards me. I honestly never use this branch by choice because of the staff Unfortunately, we can't control whete our parcels are left for collection.

I would give a 0 star if there is one. On of the staff is very rude. I bring my package to there and have a return label I ask if she can print it out for me. I did this with all other post office and they all aright. But this staff she is very rude when she said she canāt print it out for me. I mean you can say in in a polite way. I had to take photo and renew my passport at the post office. The young lady was very helpful. She had to take my photo twice and was patient with me. She also informed me and helped to correct my details. Thank you. I have read the comments here previously before coming in, but I only have one day off work to get my documents done and it is near my place. I got helped immediately (also other customers by other staff members). The service I got was good. I got what I need to be done.

A few weeks before, I took a set of ID photos to renew my passport. And it got reject by China embassy, so I went back to the post office last week, there is a staff, and his name is Mishka, he is such a nice guy, very polite and kind. After I told him about my problem, he took another photo for me, and it got rejected again. So, today I went to this post office again; Mishka listened carefully and tried to help me out. I appreciate that. Then, a lady, slim, with long black hair and dark skin. She keeps telling me they donāt do the photos for the Chinese passports, and itās upsetting me. Because I donāt know their policy, I told the staff this photo was for a Chinese passport for the first time. Instead of apologising for the inconvenience, she made me feel it was my fault by giving me a horrible attitude. I understand there were miscommunications, and I am pleased to sort it without upsetting anyone, but this lady made me uncomfortable by saying they donāt do Chinese ID photos constantly. First, I donāt know your policy. Second, if your staff doesnāt know it, itās the managerās job to make sure of it. Thirdly, this lady shouldnāt blame the staff in front of the customer and certainly not take it on the customer. It is such a horrible experience, and I feel so sooty for Mishka. It was awkward, and I believe the staff deserved respect even when they made an innocent mistake.

Box Hill Post Office staff refused for me to use my prepaid Master credit card to pay for my bill today at 255pm. However I used the exactly same type of card to pay my RACV car insurance bill at Doncaster Post Office. Its absolutely disappointing to see such an unprofessional customer service working at the Box Hill Post Office store. Maybe she requires more training. I explained to her that it's a credit card and I used it to pay at the Doncaster Post office. She insisted that I cannot use it without even attempting to try. Very poor customer service. I require future investigation about this. Otherwise will not visit the store again and will share this to my friends and family.

Today, I went to the luggage delivery front desk to see my box and gave me a list and a pen. After I finished writing, I queued up and said that the box didn't meet the standard and couldn't be sent. Then you just looked at my box and gave me a pen and a list. Why waste it? I have sent a box of this size to another post before. I feel that this one is close to my home. Finally, I went to the post I sent before and successfully sent this post. I will never go again and waste time. The front desk has a very bad attitude. Well I have to send an urgent courier to US but I have no idea what I need to do. when I went in there I just wanted to ask what kind of box or plastic bag should I use before I lined up. The Asian lady near the entrance (not at the counter) gave me a v rude look and said bluntly " I have other customers here and u have to line up ! " . I am sorry I didn't know the rules in your post office that I shouldn't ask anything and just lined up and waited for the Q&A session , got the box I needed and lined up again and do the process. I totally agree if that's the process and I should follow , only I didn't know the process doesn't mean I deserve such rude attitude. I then observe the place for a while and saw they do tends to smile and chat with non Asian customers and much more friendly .... just a 15 mins observation. Anyway won't go back there. Just go boxhill south post office. I just found out you can park at the back.

This post office has a bad reputation on Google reviews, so I was worried when I went in today that I would have a bad experience. I dealt with three different staff - though there wasn't anything "above and beyond", it was a fast, efficient transaction in all three cases, each of the staff knew what I wanted (lease a PO box and set up a redirection), got the job done, and I found all the staff to be courteous and polite. Maybe I just had good luck, but three staff at odds with what you would gather from the past Google reviews seems like more than just a coincidence.

I have documents which I needed to be signed and stamped. Itās for a job application. First went to the box hill police station and found that the justice of the peace office is temporarily closed. So I drove to box hill central. Tried to have my documents signed but got turned down by 3 pharmacies as they have customers waiting. I was desperate and about to go home empty handed but decided to try my luck at the post office. The staff I spoke to at the counter is accommodating even if there are a lot of customers waiting in line behind me. He went to his boss and asked if he could sign and stamp my documents. I waited for a few minutes and got my documents signed. Thank you.

Went here to have my babyās passport photo. One of the staff asked me that I needed to search for the passport size for my country. When I was ready (not too long) he was already assisting another customer which I understand, and he asked me to wait. I waited long enough. He didn't even bother to refer me to his co-worker who had just started, even if I was already there first. Long story short, after some assumptions and misjudgment, the lady staff asked me what she can help me with. Only to find out their system does not have my countryās photo size. He could have started with that and it would have saved us a lot of time. Will not go back there again.

I am autistic and I wear a bushman hat to cover my Trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder). I've been bullied and ripped off by these guys multiple times just because I look a little different. One time one of the older staff members came up to me and kept asking me if i "rode horses" like a cowboy even when I told him to stop. Never going to this post office again.

Please doing a better customer service training for your staff in Box Hill Central, VIC. When I send a parcel today, the old lady with sunglasses is quite unfriendly, every time when I ask a question, she always reply me by using a way like "educating a child", -- not happy, not friendly.
