I’m standing outside at the moment in a line 50 people deep. Staff are so slow. Maybe they’re making good money with a skeleton staff working but it is 45mins of my life I’ll never get back.

To the revolting older male who has worked here for 18 months and continually abuses female customers of any age trying to do simple things like send and collect parcels (and does so, so aggressively that it causes him to physically shake), who is clearly triggered for no other reason than them being female; abuse of women, which Australia Post clearly supports through employment of this prejudice male) To that male - no one can exist on earth with that level of hatred, violence and anger inside themselves for such a long period of time. For you to cause such a terrible affliction to yourself due to all your internal hatred is just very sad for you at the end of the day.

As others have said, this post office is unusable. The queue is out the door at all times, on all days, and it doesn't move. 45 mins waiting in line minimum to pick up a package.

Be Warned: If you work a 9-5 job and move into the area you will never receive a package again as this Post Office refuses to leave packages at your doorstep despite exhaustive repeat requests whilst ceasing to open Saturdays. Infuriating that they abuse the privilege of being the country’s default shipper yet dont give a toss about actually delivering the packages that pay their salaries.

Had the worst experience over parcel pick up at this post office this morning. I picked up 2 parcels with the incorrect p o box number shown ( with 2 digits interchanged) but then corrected by staff. There shouldn’t be any problem as these things do happen and looks like some diligent staff had already made the correction. Never did I expect the staff started lashing out on me for providing the wrong number to the sender , which I didn’t. It could easily have been a typo error by the sender. There is no reason to lash it out on me. This guy deserves zero star. The one star is for other staff members who would have got more if not for him.

Allow plenty of time to stand and soak up the atmosphere, browse the wide array of surprisingly non-postal products, people-watch the many others patiently, and impatiently, waiting for a lengthy period of time, and semi-regularly see a fellow customer blow a gasket when they finally reach the counter because- service here is exceptionally frustratingly slow.

Terrible post office. Avoid at all costs. Staff are untrained, and have no idea how to use their in-house systems. When I was there, they had 4 people huddling over a computer trying to work out how to do something, and did not have the courtesy to admit they were out of their depth. If they were honest, I would have been fine with it. Instead, they had me standing at the counter for 30 minutes constantly telling me 'wont be long'. Absolute disappointment with all the staff at this post office. I actually ended up walk away and there was zero care or apology from them. They are terrible. Stay away!

Today I learnt that my close friend is extremely ill abroad, and that my passport expired a week ago. After speedily completing the application on line, I rushed to Double Bay Post Office. There was a queue just some 20 mins before closing. The staff were WONDERFUL and kind, and did everything possible to help me with passport photos, application lodgement THANK YOU everyone at Double Bay post office. Hila

I had one bad experience with a tall 30ish Aussie bloke and put it down to bad luck. Second time round, not a single smile from anyone in the office and the person who served me made me feel so sorry for making his life miserable. I’m not expecting anything like a sleepy fishing village post shop where you’d be greeted by your name and a chitchat, but just basic professionalism and an interest in getting your problem solved. Anyway, problem was solved finally, hence the one star. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. By the way, they no longer open on Saturdays.

Wendy and Angela at Double Bay Australia Post Office were very helpful in organising a passport replacement and were friendly in sorting out the requirements (after the Bondi Junction Australia Post told me that although the they were open it was impossible to do passports on a Saturday and I would have to come back Monday-Friday).
