Double check every part of your receipt if you use this post office to mail anything. They didn't scan all my lodgements and the ones they did scan had the wrong postcode details entered for them. Go down the street to the other Australia Post nearby if you can.

First time, my parcel have a delivery address by using my company address, but they didnā€™t delivery the parcels during any business hours. Without collection card. when I arrived post office they staff said: your photo ID address is different form you parcel. excuse me? ?Whose photo ID will given as her/his company address. How can I? Using business card and get my parcels. Second time, I use my personal address thinking that once they send the collection card, I can easy to pickup. But they never send the packages even though collection card. supported i didnā€™t check the tracking number, I would never know my parcel has been delivered need to collect. No collection card, No messages notice, No bell ring,but but but when you check the tracking number it said Few days ago, 18:40 no one attendance See it in the picture plzā€¦ā€¦. WTH??????? That is amazing , our post office staff still working after 5pm!!! I sited at my home wait my parcels even if I know 100% there would no parcels, only the collection card. No collection card No bell rings, but you said there is no one attention. So funny. It took only 4 days delivered from China to Australia, but 4 days from post office ā€”ā€” Which is 1 km far away from my home without notice, you need pay attention only try to find you parcels by yourself. They will never mind the negative commentļ¼Œ otherwise they will improve services.

The status shows that my parcel was sent to the post office PO Box, but it is emptyā€¦. then I went to the counter asked the staff whether they can find for me. The old lady kept asking me the P.O. Box number and whether I have the key. Ofc I have! Then she went to check the P.O. Box and said it is emptyā€¦ I KNOW!!!that is why I went to the counter. I asked she whether she can check boxes nearby. Then she brought back the supervisor and that lady was even indifferent. She showed me the status on the computer, which is exactly the same as I can see from my phone. And she said that all they can do?????? The other young lady with better attitude, but her method is quite stupid. She suggested me to go to the post office tmr before 10am and see whether I can meet the staff who deliver parcels to P.O. Box. Firstly, this kind of staff work from midnight to early morning. They leave as long as they finish workā€¦..secondly, the deliver hundreds of thousands parcels every day. It is impossible for them to remember a single parcelā€¦.. Very bad attitude and useless!!!!!

My mail was firstly awaiting collection, then sent back to the sender without delivering it. Asked the people there, they don't know anything only told you to contact the sender. It's an important and urgent document but nobody there took responsibility, no body gave the solution, only left the customer suffers the loss. The last few times I've visited to collect parcels the staff have been friendly and efficient. Ideal service, thanks team! Though, the same cannot be said for the postal delivery people who continually refuse to deliver parcels (I believe these are from Fyshwick depot)... even when we are home all day they pretend as though they attempted delivery. Even though I know it's because they can't be bothered carrying the parcel an extra 50 meters to my building set back from the street.

Nice staff, quite helpful. Great location, very convenient for me. Full selection of Australia Post essentials plus a wide range of 'as seen on tv' merch. Parcel Post lockers are a godsend for online shopping because no one even attempts delivery at home these days. Get a parcel locker number instead. So efficient. Make sure you pickup within 48 hours! Bonus points for working, retro clock tower on top.

One of the female tellers was extremely rude when I tried to send off a package. I accidentally put on international stamps, she threw the package back on the counter and pointed to the stamps aggressively saying we do not accept these stamps in a rude tone. I understand if you don't accept these stamps but there is a nicer, more professional way to deliver a message. A few of my colleagues have also had an unpleasant experience with the same teller. Do not come to this post office if you want your afternoon ruined.

Once here, the service is reasonable. However, all parcels, no matter day or time, automatically get redirected here without attempt at delivery. I'll be waiting specifically for the parcel at home and then receive an update "We missed you! No one was at home during attempted delivery." Yeah, and I'm the Queen of England.

Over the last year or so I have frequented the GPO, usually to collect parcels or mail items. The service over the counter has been outstanding, without exception. In particular, Belinda has provided excellent service on several occasions, with efficiency, kindness and patience. It is much appreciated! I think it's important to differentiate the postal delivery service (which I have many bad experiences) and the over-the-counter service (which is excellent). Well done to the GPO team! Now, if only parcel delivery could move into the 21st century and call people when they arrive (as other courier services do e.g. DHL). It would save a lot of hassle and unnecessary additional carbon footprint of parcels and the people who collect them.

Often busy, have to stand in line for a few minutes (wait for 5 people to be served). The staff are nice and polite, although cannot help with some things, like specific document certifications. Some other document certifications can be done. I had difficulty with the automated letter/parcel mailing machines. The indoors area looks nice and is spacious.

If you use a parcel locker at this location, there's a 40% chance you will need to collect from the counter during business hours due to the lockers all being in use, negating the use of a parcel locker in the first place. They will not restock your parcel into a locker once they become free. Staff are generally helpful, but often have problems finding parcels in the back. Lines can be very long over lunch times and near the end of the day. Not recommended.

Would you please update your google maps profile which is what comes up first when you search the gpos address. It says the opening hours are until 6pm. You are open until 5.30. This would be useful for costumers as it would avoid confusion and being yelled at by staff, as I was, when I came in at 5.31pm. Thank you.

Came here to collect my parcel around 3:45pm. The indian lady told me that delivery was delay today, so asked me to come back after 4:30pm. Went to bank, pharmacy to kill my time, and came back after 4:30pm. Then, she said "too many parcels still not categorized yet, so come back tomorrow." with annoying face. I understand that how busy they were, however, her way to handle customer was terrible and bad attitude. This is the first worse experience at this post office. Normally good service, so 1 star for other good staffs.

I came in having an average day. However, 'average' quickly decreased to 'bad' upon receiving the customer service in Alinga St. Australia Post Shop. I came in to have passport photos taken, so after curtly being taken to the desk needed for photos, I was showed how to stand in front of the screen in an annoyed and disdainful way. Passport photos are for 10 years, so was it really bad to want a good photo? I asked to retake the photo (there was not a lot of customers in store) and the scornful tone in which the man (Marcus?) was talking to me quickly turned disdainful (imagine a sigh and a face that says 'please let me die rather than deal with this customer'). Although the second photo was worst than the first, I was having such a bad time with the man that I left unsatisfied and $20 short of money with a product I don't want to use. Maybe he was having a bad day, and if so, I'm sorry to hear that. But also it would probably be better to make an effort not to be rude while working.

Received a "we missed you, come collect stuff" card that has the trading hours for December listed till 6pm Monday to Friday. Drove into the city, it was closed at 5:45 with trading hours listed to 5pm. Not good enough
