How can this post office get customer service so wrong in a region rich with otherwise beautiful people? I can only imagine mail-theft must be rife in Bangalow, with nefarious characters rifling through other folk’s letterboxes to find delivery notice cards to pilfer and illicitly present to claim a mystery parcel. Why else would identity-proof be demanded every one of the dozens of times I collect a parcel here? (Although I don’t know why an identity-thief would put up with the tardy service just to steal a package containing unknown contents…). And the wait is interminable, as queues stretch around the room, out the door, around the building, surely a sign that staff-to-customer ratios need refining. Redirect your mail to be served by the amazing staff at nearby Tintenbar or Suffolk Park post offices: the trip will save you time and it’ll be a pleasant experience too.

I'm not surprised there are so many poor reviews. I had the unfortunate experience of having to visit for the first time recently. The female staff member that served me was rude and condescending and determined to try and pick a fight over the most trivial thing. The excellent service and friendliness we've experienced during our month spent in Bangalow was thankfully in sharp contrast to that of the Bangalow Post Office.

This PO definitely wins the award for the rudest, most contemptuous staff in Australia. It’s very evident by the wording of any positive reviews about this business, that they have been written by friends of Karen the owner- FAKE 5 STAR reviews or the older 5 star reviews pertained to the previous owner who was a dream to deal with. The reality now is - expect ZERO customer service, made all the worse by the fact that Australia Post refuses to deliver your parcels, no matter how small, and insist on making residents queue for miles to collect their mail and even if staff see you every week or more, they make the already arduous task of attending the PO, just that little bit more so, by acting as though they don’t recognise you, even if they address you by name, and insist on ID just to be difficult and indulge in their little power trip. They also regularly forget to look for other parcels you may have delivered, or claim there’s only one, even if you tell them you have received an SMS notice for another and then when you have to make the drive back into town again to collect the second parcel they missed, they arrogantly tell you they were “very busy” when they initially searched: what a joke of an operation, the owner Karen should sell up if she can’t run a business efficiently and train her staff to be friendly and polite to customers.

I've been dealing with this post office for a few years now and have only found the staff friendly and helpful.. I find it really hard to believe people are disappointed in the customer service 🤷‍♀️🤔

Why is is so common that Australia Post staff are so rude? You work in retail/customer service, absolutely no need to be so condescending. You're not in a position of authority, so get off your power trip. One female staff member is especially rude, to me & have witnessed to several other people. If you are concerned about covid safety, do no attend here. They don't check people are checking in and don't care if people are wearing masks because it's "too much of a hassle"?! Extremely dissapointing. Thanks for continuing to endanger the community 👏

Australia's Worst LPO. Just because someone can afford a licence for a post office doesn't mean they should have one. Utter contempt for customers if you have the misfortune of visiting which we sadly do as they refuse to deliver parcels. They would rather rent more buildings (family kickbacks?) and make you queue to collect during a pandemic. Now they are directing parcels to Byron for collection as they have run out of space entirely. Just deliver them. Problem solved. The way Karen talks to people is just awful. Shame on you.

I recently went into my local PO with a prepaid parcel like fellow work colleagues have done daily for the past 13 years, we are always welcomed and told not to line up as its prepaid just hand over or leave on the desk. This post office has a bit of a different setting than most so I was a bit confused as to where I should leave it. I very politely excused myself to a staff member and fellow customer she was serving to simply ask where the designated drop off was, the parcel was snatched out my hand and I was scolded then on leaving I heard her talking loudly behind my back calling me rude, she then proceeded to publicly shame me in front of all the other customers for interrupting her and not lining up, in which I would of happily done if she had just simply said that! Public humiliation in any form is not acceptable.

This post office continues to prove that they cannot display sufficient and appropriate customer service aswell as store management. I do not go to the post office very regularly due to my disliking of this post office, although when I have to I am greeted with nothing but rudeness and incompetence. There has been multiple times where the post office has made an error regarding lost parcels and other issues, and then tried to blame myself or others for the errors. This post office is also slow in their service which on some days results in 40 + minute waits. It's a shame that the change of management from 2 years ago has made a significant impact on the lovely people of Bangalow and their day to day lives as the post office is a necessity for many businesses and families. After reading the other ratings on this page over the last 2 years, I am not surprised. I would agree with previous comments that unfortunately there is no option to click 0 stars.

Dreadful. They didn't even attempt to deliver my parcel and expect my client to drive and pick up something which was paid to be delivered. then I called all day and nobody bothered to answer the phone. No message service so I guess I just keep calling or drive 45 min pick up and deliver the parcel myself. What a redundant service. I hope you go out of business. Ill use a courier next time. Unfortunately, there is no option for zero stars.

Always an odious experience trying to obtain service here. Was recently told the SMS tracking alert and weblink from AustPost was insufficient evidence that I had a parcel for pickup and that I was required to come back with the carded slip. When I explained that I had driven 15 km to collect a parcel that should have been left in my mailbox, they grudgingly handed over the parcel with bad-grace and a warning that they would never bend the "rules" again. Move to another town if you want good postal service.

Really quite pathetic service. We received an text message to say a parcel has arrived on a Monday. I call and tell staff I have handed in my key to the PO box but have not taken out a re-direction the week before. That's ok they say we will hold for a week. We go in on the Tuesday to pick up but it has been returned to sender.....sorry that's lousy service in anyone's book.....Cheers and we hope this might help you improve your service.
