I'd give 10 gold stars if I only could! From watching the greeter and counter staff extend ever little courtesy to the elderly gentleman paying his cc bill ahead of me to efficiently handling my rather complex reasons to be there, I was wow'd from start to finish. And people responded to the staff's professionalism. There was wave after wave of courtesy and kindness that flowed through the queue as people smiled, helped each other, and genuinely looked delighted to be there. Special mention the staff member who handled my expedited passport renewal today (WOW - she's fabulous) and the greeter on duty around 2PM (WOW - she's gracious). Hats off to the store designer as well...great flow. Keep up the stellar work 261 Queen Street & take a bow. You deserve it.

I just want to say that I am absolutely disappointed by the service I received today. My father in-laws passed away this morning and we need to schedule an urgent trip to go back to Hong Kong. However, my son needs his passport done for the trip and we rushed into the city. We arrived 11.50am but then got told by the lady who greeted at the front that they are no longer doing the passport for the rest of the day. I tried to explain our situation but she just simply said they are closed for Passport today but still open for other services. I checked on the website and it says you do not close until 12.30. She just kept walking away only answered question by question, which couldn’t help to make me think she tried to avoid to have conversation with me. I am truly disappointed in your service today and I was nearly break down in the shop. Very cold hearted service no sympathy under this situation.

Every time I've been there the place has been swamped, but the staff manage to maintain their composure and do their best in the face of some really rude customers & outlandish requests. The queues can be long but they get through it efficiently and with great customer service.

Recent letter in my PO Box looks like phishing - poor quality (definitely a photocopy), doesn't have my name, incorrect contact details (pretty sure any number starting with triple zero goes to emergency services, not Australia Post), has logo of trusted organisation, asking for contact details. That might have been ok 20 years ago, but definitely looks dodgy now. Large CBD post office. Lots of parcel lockers - available 24x7, and no need to queue. Also has po boxes. Don't expect free parking nearby except late at night.

Great, central location in a lovely old building. You can use a self-service kiosk or lodge a parcel at the counter. Can get busy, but the line moves quickly. Julie is an absolute GEM—she’s always friendly and happy to help, and seems to know the answers to every question!

Went in on a Saturday to renew passport, they were so understaffed but the friendly and patient staff who were on was exceptional. Australia post you need to staff your brisbane GPO with more staff on Saturday. I waited in line for over an hour. This can easily be avoided… put more staff on.

A young lady with long, brown hair greeted me, was kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the line was immensely long and they had only a single person serving. For a Saturday, high volume should be expected and staffed accordingly. Waiting 1 hour to mail a single parcel is unacceptable customer service. If not for the kindness of the person initially assisting me, I would've given 1 star.

Best place to lodge your parcels if you're in the city or nearby. Service is quick - if you don't need a receipt once lodged and it has been prepaid, the helpful staff takes it from you no matter where you are in the line and does it all. No need to spend precious time queueing, absolutely love it that there are so many staff to take care of the ever flowing customers into the GPO.

Shoutout to Cathy for helping me select an appropriate parcel size for the item I was sending. I initially chose an extra large envelope and went up to her to pay for it. Had to go back 5 times each time they had a different reason why they couldn't courier a document overseas for me. Eventually they told me the service has been suspended for ages and it was never possible in the first place. Wasted at least 3h of my life. Still stuck with the document.

Had a pretty good experience today. Went during the lunch time peak, but as my need was pretty straight forward, I was able to use the self-service kiosk. I was kindly greeted at the front door and the person was really helpful and explained what I had to do and my options.

Lost my freight which I understand happens from time to time but then gave me the total runaround with different stories. Drove to 4 depo and spent hours on hold to their call center. Could have driven to Melbourne to collect it myself. Its cheap because they use they cheapest contractors who don’t care about your freight. No tracking.Stay Clear.

Great customer service! Went there yesterday (21/7/2022)for passport application and was well taken care of. I was applying for the whole family and had couple of typing errors in the application, customer representative (Ki*) was extremely helpful. Even guided us to the place to get some print outs etc- when I came back with the remaining documents an hour later, was asked to skip the queue and was served straightway (due to waiting there in the morning for about 30mins just to find that some documents needed new prints).

Zero visibility from Queen St as to where you PO Boxes are. Are yet walking for 15 mins through the city, yet to find ANY express post boxes although you happily sell them. Courier next time and I won’t waste my time with Aus Post.
