Well-maintained post office with great service. Lucy and jocular friend (Juan? John?) were professional and knowledgeable. I completed a passport application and certification of identification here with no issues. Lucy was very accommodating and clearly explained all relevant procedures to me. Beware - some queues have specific purposes. E.g. passport applications have a queue on the right hand side. Don't waste your time dawdling in the plebeian all-purpose queue like I did.

The best post office that I have been to so far. I had to get my new photo ID for the paperwork last year and thanks to the gentleman who got my ID photo taken nicely. He gave me a comb to brush my hair and asked me to check my appearance before the photo was taken. Small details like that shows how they care about customers. I was very happy with the photo he showed me. Even though they are always busy, they strive to provide everyone best customer service experience. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Had a good experience here! Came during lunch time on a weekday, and there was quite a long line (extended almost out of the door). The post office was located in Martin Place, and was in a cute little heritage looking building. The interior had an old school vibe but it was very clean and well organised. The line moved very quickly and the staff were friendly! Probably one of the best post offices I’ve been to. Would definitely recommend.

By far the best Post Office I've been to. The customer service here is exceptional. Everyone is so professional, friendly and caring. Always great experience on all my visits. The architecture of the building is amazing as well. Inside, everything is very nicely arranged and tidy.

A special mention to Megan (apologies if incorrect spelling) I visit this location weekly and I always see her full of positive energy and always offering a helping hand to all the customers. Today she has personally served me and has gone above and beyond to exceed my expectations. She was able to find what I thought was impossible for me and she did this with patience and determination and i am truly appreciative of her time and efforts for me today. I commend her hard work today and everyday and you can see that she takes pride in her work. This location is very lucky to have such a valuable staff member.

After 4 weeks of back and forth and appalling customer service, I lodged a complaint with the Ombudsman. Within two weeks, “as a gesture of goodwill” *sarcasm, Australia Post decided to pay for the repairs and the guy had the cheek to offer me less than the cost of the full repair - probably a negotiating tactic on his part - but it further soured the taste in my mouth 🤮 Time and energy-wise I was probably better off paying for the repair myself. I just hope that something gets fixed in their internal processes!!! —— ATTENTION: All fellow disgruntled AusPost customers!!! Feel free to share and spread the word. If you have to deal with Australia Post customer service, please note that they seem to have some call routing system where if you’re placed on their “black list”, you’ll spend hours on the phone without getting through. Try calling from another number and you’ll be surprised. AusPost damaged a high value musical instrument that was shipped using Express Post with extra insurance cover purchased. This Monday, following X number of calls trying to get Australia Post to honour their insurance, I tried to call them again. The machine said “the expected wait time in the queue is 30 minutes”. 50 minutes later my patience was wearing off. Luckily I happen to have another number I could call from. Without finishing the first call, I called the Customer Helpdesk number again. This time even the music was different. I got through to an operator within 10 minutes. When I asked her if the calls are managed on first come, first serve basis, her answer was affirmative. This was all while my first call was still in the queue. I’ve now had four visits to AusPost GPO at Martin Place. God knows how many phone calls. They still haven’t resolved the issue. In contradiction to their own instructions whereby the recipient of damaged item needs to lodge the claim, I’ve now had to have the sender involved. So the sender lodged a claim. Today, during my yet another visit to AusPost, we found out to our surprise they closed his claim without even notifying the sender by any means. The helpdesk person couldn’t even tell us why his colleagues closed the case and with what outcome. Well, it’s really no surprise, because I am yet to receive any communication and updates to my original case. So what I’ve been doing so far is logging my saga against my own case to document this appalling customer service journey. I have full intentions of lodging a formal complaint with the Postal Ombudsman! The customer service rep eventually advised that the sender now needs to call AusPost to create another claim assuring us that he made the comments and that the claim will now go straight to their Insurance team. The sender called the number provided. Guess what? He couldn’t get through after an hour and after being told the expected wait time is 30 minutes.

Formerly Sydney’s oldest and largest post office, this beautiful old sandstone building has now been converted into offices and a hotel with only a small post office left. It has been restored and maintained in excellent condition and is worth checking out as an example of early colonial architecture.

The General Post Office (abbreviation GPO, commonly known as the Sydney GPO) is a heritage-listed landmark building located in Martin Place, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The original building was constructed in two stages beginning in 1866 and was designed under the guidance of Colonial Architect James Barnet. Composed primarily of local Sydney sandstone, mined in Pyrmont, the primary load-bearing northern façade has been described as "the finest example of the Victorian Italian Renaissance Style in NSW" and stretches 114 metres along Martin Place, making it one of the largest sandstone buildings in Sydney.

Constantly having issues with post men not leaving packages in letter box. Big inconvenience to then go to PO and find parking to collect something that would have fitted in letter box. Then when Service NSW Ap didn't work they refused to release package on a credit card!! as I didn't have my actual licence with me. Staff saw the Ap didn't work- hopeless service!!
