The staff at Top Ryde post office are really helpful. Despite the queue out the door, they are never seen stressed and don’t rush you. Have they thought about getting a vending machine for express post sachets and common things that would save people having to queue for something that’s quick and easy. Chatswood post office has one and it reduces the need to queue!

Incompetent courier sent my parcel to this post office when he could easily have left it in the lobby apartment or nearby post office. Had to drive on a busy road to come here and line up for a 45 minutes slow service. Fantastic. Just well done.

Terrible. When i asked for correct international envelope, they sold me one which had no tracking. Item got lost and no one bothered.People at the counter do not know anything. do your own homework online before coming here.

The Australia post delivery drivers in Ryde NEVER deliver the parcels & claim ‘attempted delivery, wasn’t allowed access’ yet I’ve been home all day WFH & nobody ever rings the buzzer… I’m having to come to the post office EVERY SINGLE DAY MONDAY-SATURDAY to pick up a parcel (if I don’t pick them up I can’t do my job at home as the contents in the parcel are needed for me to do my job) as a result of the Australia post delivery drivers never doing their job the post office is always at least an hour wait… something really needs to be done about this & the Australia post delivery drivers in Ryde really need to be held accountable for taking a shortcut in their job…

I cannot stress how terrible the service at this post office is. In my first attempt to get my Australian passport, the post office had a queue out the door (which is expected I know) but finally when I got to the counter, the postal assistant had scanned and certified all of documentation with their own Ryde postal stamp. My guarantor had missed an item so I had to go away and get them to complete it before returning. Before I left, the shop assistant had said that on the back of the photo, just a name and signature is needed as they signed the previously page and provided passport details etc. In my second visit, I did not have the actual Medicare card with me but poi t to the scanned and certified copy they took the last time. I also went as far as showed them the copy on the actual Medicare app and was later told the name and signature on the photo has to include ‘this is certified by’ in there aswell and would not except the current version. I stipulated that this was the information I received the last time I was there. I’ve to return again and wait to see what the next issue will be.

Never delivers packages because delivering to apartments is too hard. And you can only pick up your packages if you come in between 9-5 on a work day. Which, yknow, I can't do and make rent. Honestly, shame. You're literally not a functioning post office. And your rude staff sending people away and saying they're "wasting their time" trying to pick up parcels the only time you're open is insane. I honestly hope this place gets knocked down. An empty hole in its place would be exactly as useful as a post office.

Parcel locker available as an option for those who cannot pick up items during work hours. Sometimes the postmen deliver to my door (I live in a unit), sometimes they don't. Staff have been nice on every interaction.

One of the best post offices in the area. Come here instead of my local one. The staff are always efficient and extremely friendly, especially the old lady who is usually stationed furthest to the right. Most of the complaints here are to do with the contractors, not the staff at this post office.

Can someone tell me how people who work 9:00-5:00 (or longer) are meant to pick up a parcel from here when they don’t open Saturdays? I have to take annual leave just to get a parcel? You’d expect being in a shopping centre that they are more likely to be open weekends than other post shops. Furthermore, someone was home when they supposedly tried to deliver but they didn’t bother knocking. Stuck in the 1990s and need to get with the times.

Whilst this is my first review this is not my first experience. The customer service at this branch is appalling. I went to get a VOI for a property settlement. Cust service agent did not accept my for because the print out has a mil missing from the bottom. No common sense. No intention to help. I asked them to help me re-print it; they sent me to the library. I have had so many bad experiences at this Aust Post office I avoid visiting. However my preferred branch at Meadowbank was not able to to the VOI for me. Top Ryde Post Office and its staff is an embarrassment to this country.

The manager is holding my parcels because they have given me a wrong parcel. Thay have no right to do so. Because it is there miss take for doing this, not my fault. I am giving the worng parcel back as soon as I can. Double check the staff have done their job properly, before you leave. Don't rush because thay make you, rush. I told the lady that serviced me, she has given me to many parcels. But she was rushing and said no thay are all yours. Bad services. Thay don't seam to be able to drop parcels off to my home. I always have to go to post office, to pick up. There is someone home. I don't understand stand there service's This post office is not open on weekends, when it's Christmas, the most busy time of of the year.

So now that Australia Post is telling everyone that they are so far behind in deliveries of postal items, Ryde Post Office decides to close on a Saturday! (One of the most favourite days mind you!) words fail me Australia Post is a joke at present, I am home all day everyday lately (of course duh) but they still manage to “miss” my huge door bell (at eye height in the centre of the door) and take the parcel to the Post Office, 4 times In a fortnight , so then I have to run the gauntlet and go to the Post Office to pick up my parcels and I’m in a high risk category of dying if I can’t Covid!, thanks so much Australia Post

Went to Ryde Post Office to locate Express Post includes my passport while being told it was not with them even through I had been informed by other branch officers it was in Ryde store after tracking it in their system internally. Had to submit a complaint online since it got lost in between and was told to wait for another one month time! Then one week later was contacted by Ryde Post Office asked me why not coming and picking it up, otherwise they will return my passport to sender, this is RIDICULOUS!

The store was shut somehow, while the google map said it remained open. Also checked the Au post website and did not indicate the shut down or this post in advance. There’s a sign posted on the glass door. When you can say that sign, it means ur time has been wasted by coming by today.

The biggest improvement this place can make is to hire extra staff to fill out the rest of the counters. Line extends outside the store and staff are disorganised. Who knew there was a separate line to get your id verified? We didn't because there was no signage so we waited on the regular line for half hour before being told we need to wait for the people in other "correct line" to be done being served by the single staff member there - even though we've been waiting for way longer.

Terrible service, especially manager of the post office, reached at 4:30 pm and was long queue, he refuses to provide me service when my turn came, he told me we cannot provide service after 4:40 pm. Later he found my ID does not have sticker and told me we cannot do verification, even though i was showing RTA's official address change email and digital lisence with updated address, finally he refuses to provide service and have to return home. On my most recent visit the manager went above and beyond, taking the time to explain how I can save money on postage without me even asking. Queues! I have no complaint about the service. I have always received skilled, thoughtful, very helpful assistance from staff once I reach the counter - it's the getting there I find daunting. Sometimes the queue weaves its way to the entrance doors, and it's a slow journey.. At these busy periods perhaps more staff are needed, if not at the counter then working the queue for Customers not needing the counter. Thanks.
