Staff were rude. I was made to feel guilty for submitting a passport application. Staff member stated, ‘now isn’t a good time to do a passport application’. I wonder when is a good time? Australia Post may have to review their lunch hours and roster staff on to ease afternoon rush. I highly recommend, Australia Post Mayfield. The young men who work there are the polar opposite of the staff at Wallsend.

Purgest pass port photos on the 19 from them and went in on the 21st and was told photo had scratches. So I was told can get new ones. left shop in discus and drove back home and got the sheet of photos and come back down to be processed. The staff are rude and are arrogant. Who pays for my time at 100 a hour I own a small business. I don't treat customers like that.would go out off business.

I've attended the post office twice to try and pick up my parcel. On Saturday it was closed despite the card saying it would be open. When I quickly Googled it, I realised it says closed. So I came again 4pm on Monday after I finished work and it was closed again. I then saw that it's only open 10am - 3pm based on an A4 piece of paper that you only notice if you're looking for it. I then went onto the Aus Post website and it also said it closed 12pm - 1pm for lunch. I'm currently teaching, so I don't know how I'm supposed to pick up my parcel as a single person, when it's closed before I finish work and is shut during lunch? I can't even see if it could go out for delivery again as Auspost is only taking phone enquiries about passports and medication.

Doesn't matter what day you go or what time you go, the staff are usually very rude. They work in customer service, they have to deal with customers. Usually that means being courteous and friendly. They're in the wrong job.....

The staff are always rude. Hate going there when I have to due to it being my local post office but when going to the post office for other things I prefer to go the extra distance and go to the jesmond post office as they have much nicer staff and always friendly.

Sick and tired of getting a notification saying my parcel is "delivered" when I've been home all day, no knock on the door and a card saying come pick it up at the post office. Lazy delivery drivers, 4 out of the last 5 have left a card and not bothered to knock!!

Usually a pleasent experience, with very friendly and helpful staff. Until a recent interaction with a lady who I assume was the manager. She refused to accept my birth and change of name certificates as ID, even telling me that Births Deaths and Marriages had given me a birth certificate which was incorrect. I was forced to track down other forms of ID to use. To check what was wrong with my ID, I called Service NSW (the issuers of the licence I was renewing) who were as confused as I with her issue with the ID. I also called Births Deaths and Marriages who checked and confirmed that both certificates were correct. The only advice that BDM and Service NSW could give me was "go to another post office". While it's ok for this lady to be incorrect, she was abrupt, rude and i was made to feel I was holding up the other customers. I hope that the staff member may understand the rules better in the future to avoid any future embarrassment for customers. All that said, 5 stars to every other staff member I've dealt with there.
