I don't think this review will have any effect on how this LPO treats HUMANS but anyways this is just a try. I left office early in the CBD to collect the parcel that was supposed to be the birthday gift for one of my closest one tonight. I reached 5.02pm and they closed the door on my face and asked me to go away as I was 2 mins late due to traffic. Please remember you serve humans and NOT robots.

The Indian gentlemen who run this place now are absolute gentlemen who provide friendly, genuine and quality service. They never appear flustered even during the busy afternoon times. I am genuinely disappointed if my parcel is directed to another collection point. The only issue here is the small size of the office and the location as it can be difficult with parking and or traffic.

I cant give 0 stars unfortunately. They don't know Aus Post products and services properly, always see people frustratedly dealing with them. Very awkward location off main north road, and strictly operate only 9:00 - 5:00 Monday to Friday, so don't expect to be able to collect a parcel from them if you work. Even during Christmas they cant be bothered opening 1 extra hour in the week so you can collect any parcels. Why Mawson Lakes is forced through this post office and cant have it's own makes no sense....

Not open Saturdays. Useless for people who work as this LPO is only open Mon to Fri business hours. It infuriates me that my mail goes here if it can't be left at my address or parcel locker. So annoying and inconvenient and no matter how many times I ask Aust Post NOT to take my mail here as my preferred LPO (because its not...) they still do grrr!

The new Management has been a great improvement since past years. They are quick, friendly, courteous and considerate since they took over about 2 years ago. A lot of negative reviews are from the older times. Today when Google showed the PO was open till six due to X'mas but was not,they allowed me in and served me 10 min after closing hours and with politeness. Great people, keep the good work up!

The old man likes to charge extra, he also likes to re affirm that you write a return address, he seems confident that your package is going to be lost in the mail, which is far from reassuring. Got quoted $33 here for 2 packages, went to another APO and it cost me $26.

It’s just easier to send things to other post offices as there not open on Saturday even over Xmas. So if your package gets delivered while your at work... you have from 4:45 to 5:00 to collect the package and if you can’t make it in time your package (fiance’s Xmas present) will be locked away in that shop until Wednesday. Then the guy that works there has a real attitude and is extremely arrogant. Never again

The absolute WORST post office! Only open business hours and have to PAY to get your parcel sent to another post office that is open! I got to the post office at 5:02 today and although the owner was still there he would not let me in to pick up my parcel and kept saying they were closed. The owner is extremely rude and arrogant. Would never step foot inside this post office if my parcels didn’t get sent there! PLEASE open a post office in Mawson Lakes so I don’t have to experience this rude behavior every time I need to pick up a parcel!! Furious

Terrible customer service and inconvenient hours. Always have to have items redirected. Only open M-F 9-5, have rushed to make it before only to get there at 5 as the owner has turned the sign to say closed. He refused to let me pick up my parcel. They are rude and have even refused my requests to send items to another PO and as a result my parcels have been returned to sender. Australia Post need to get rid of this Post Office. Put one at Mawson Lakes, with better owners and appropriate opening hours.

After reading the other reviews here, when I walked into the post office this morning, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very welcoming. I don't know if the franchisee has changed since the other reviews were written. All I can say is that the service is very good and quick now. The only suggestion I have is to remain open at least for a few hours on a Saturday so that customers can collect parcels without affecting their work schedules. Or do extended hours on a Thursday or something and close early in lieu of this on another day.

I went for photograph on 7/11/18 to pooraka post office for an urgent matter. The man who took my picture was nice and said I will receive my photo in email in TWO hours. I kept waiting for 2 hours, got nothing in my email. Called back to check. The funny character on other side of phone who attended this time, put me on hold, came back and told you will get it anytime today... ha ha ha , not only this he asked me personal Question-- WHY IS IT URGENT FOR YOU? I get that Australia Post is a business. What I don't get is that they've reduced their trading hours, meaning people working can not pick up their parcels. And in return for this reduction in service, we are now expected to have to pay extra to get it transferred to a different Post Office that IS open. How absolutely ludicrous. I have asked for an alternative solution, or at least recognition - and now a month later there has been no change and no attention paid to my question.

AVOID AVOID AVOID This post office has gone downhill since the last guys sold it. The guy running the place is Cocky, Rude, Arrogant as hell. I can not believe the way he treats his regular customers. Can't wait until they get the post office they are pushing for in Mawson Lakes, they have the same postcode as Pooraka & I won't have to be spoken to like a child or belittled in front of other customers by that rude rude man. As it is I already go up to Golden grove or Parahills post office anytime I need to post something or pay bills. They are much nicer than that jerk!

Generally acceptable customer service, but opening hours make it difficult for the majority of working people to pick up their parcels. Would be great if they were open just a half hour before and after their current workday, or for a few hours on a weekend. It seems this problem has been an issue for some years and has still not been addressed.

Poor Form! Staff that don't say hello and appear to hate being there. The fact they are also only open business hours Monday to Friday is very inconvenient. To collect parcels I must modify my own work schedule. My old LPO was open for 2 hours on Saturday, would it kill them to be open for one hour over the weekend? Bad service all round and I hope another opens closer to me in Mawson Lakes so I can use them instead!

Their trading hours are very inconvenient for working people. I always pick up parcels from the Parafield Gardens LPO (open on Saturdays til 12pm)but for some reason, my last parcel was left to be picked up at Pooraka. I had to pay $6.00 to have it redirected just so I can pick it up on the weekend. I think that's unfair.
