I came here to send an international parcel, which was already costly. They informed me that I was required to submit an online declaration form that detailed the value of my item, WITHOUT also telling me that I would be further charged based on their market value. I fed up not only paying double of what I had already spent but also giving up time and nerves to fix a problem. The staff were insolent, rude, lazy and arrogant, specifically Terri, refusing to bother in aiding me and instead telling me there was nothing they could do in a belittling tone. I would have loved to give this place a zero stars but it is unfortunately not an option. Its a disgusting place that is horribly managed, anywhere else is better.

My only criticism is that the parcel pick-up isn't open on Saturdays, not even for a couple of hours like most places. But at least it opens at 6am so I am usually able to collect my parcels before I go to work. Staff are also very helpful

I disagree with what people are saying regarding the staff, I see them constantly abused for things they have no control over, that takes a toll on a person. BUT, I am rating the location 1 star as they aren't open on Saturdays which is the only day people who work 9-5 during the week can collect. It's extremely ridiculous and frankly quite demeaning to the local working class population! Especially being a government entity, they should be doing everything in their power to make sure that the people who actually pay taxes and keep their lights running, are adequately accommodated!!! No one is asking for full hours on the weekend, just a small window of a couple hours. MAKE IT HAPPEN AUSPOST

Makes absolutely no sense that the post office is closed on Saturdays. Most of the people that need to collect their packages work 9-5 weekdays, yet these are the only times you are open for collection. Every other post office is open for at least 3 hours on Saturday!

Not very helpful at all. Tried to pay with a charge account and instead of explaining why they couldn’t do it I was just told no. Have been in previously and this has been accepted. If you would like to renew your passport don’t bother they don’t do it . Apparently they don’t have the services to do it . I found the service there rude and abrupt. When you are offering a service to people you should be helpful and friendly not condescending and arrogant.

Parcel collection at Silverwater Auspost is horrendous. You have a higher chance dropping d**d from a sun stroke than catching covid. Long queues that extend out to the streets.

The post office and staff are nice enough, but parcel pick up is an absolute joke. Always a 40+ minute wait and only getting through 1 customer every 5 minutes or longer. Something is very wrong here, pick up should not be this bad and it has been like this for months. I get there's a massive influx of parcels, but being one of Australia's oldest companies, how had this not been worked out by now...

AusPost NEVER rings the intercom and delivers packages to my home but always takes the parcels to this AusPost. Why would I order online if I need to go and pick it up anyway?? Also so inconvenient that it's never open on weekends, people have jobs on weekdays and cant come pick up during those hours (which is why we order online in the first place) . Worst public service ever.

Finished watching an entire season of squid games and there was still two people infront of me in parcel pickup. The line overflowed into the car park, how are the staff this incredibly slow? Edit: another parcel that they didn’t even attempt to deliver. I waited and waited, no bell was rang, nothing, very frustrating dealing with these people!

Terrible ! there are two counters but only one guy on duty despite there are many staff inside but didn’t help out , came here this morning , the line is at least with 10 ppl waiting , came during lunch break , again the line is 10 ppl waiting , Why can’t more staff be allocated to clear the line aust post ?

I want to thank all the staff for taking the extra extra load during the lockdown ...it was too much. However, the way the parcels are arranged inside the office seems to be bad. Staff members struggle to find parcels when they have the address and the name. Something is wrong. I visited the place to collect a parcel, they could not locate it. I left without. The following Saturday, they called and said they found it. Today ..very long queue..I could not stay.

Parcel pickup is so slow. Not everything can go into the parcep lockers so you have to eventually suffer when the postie doesn't really attempt delivery. Easy 1 hour at least if you try anytime after 8.30. staff are nice and polite but that's not enough. Need better organisation so they find things right away and need more staff if the posties don't bother

Hard working people and feel so sad for them because they have to battle through the influx of deliveries and parcels. Lovely helpful and very polite staff, hope their efforts get appreciated. Some people that come to collect their parcels are extremely rude to the staff so feel Auspost have to come up with the policies where the bad behaviour towards the staff would not be tolerated.
