After just on 27 years having a PO Box at the North Cairns Post Office I surrendered the keys to my PO Box yesterday (28/02/2022). Having a whole month left on my prepaid rental I was expecting a refund, however, I was charged a cheeky cancellation fee to the value of the refund. The staff member was rude and aggressive and thankfully I won't be going to that Post Office ever again. The postal services have become very inadequate there with early closing times for certain postal services. It was once the best Post Office in Cairns, but it certainly isn't that any more, and hasn't been for some years. My recommendation is to go elsewhere in future.

Feel so lucky to have it as my regular local post office. The ladies running it there are the best which makes such a difference as I order a lot online for business and personal and frequent it at least once a week.

If I could give a big fat Zero star I would. First guy on counter "Arther" rude and un helpful, I'm sure if he smiled his face would have cracked.After passport photo taken went back to que for the application of said passport. Another albeit not so rude as the first person, but but reminded me of my old scary primary school teacher also unable to smile felt slightly intimidating of the whole experience . Will definitely avoid this post office next time if possible.

Fairly ordinary services. Everytime I arrange a package "at home" I get a card to pick up at post office. And I'm at home..... Or I'm lucky like today and see it frisbeed over my complex fence gates. Complex. ..Meaning more people live in the boundary than me. I'm lucky I get my mail some days. Get it together or people just use someone else.
