Today I had to send my luggage overseas. I have been very stressed with the move and I didn’t realise I could send a bag over 20kg, my bags was heavier. They closed at 1pm and I felt I overwhelmed. I was so grateful that the man and young girl stayed behind and helped me send me bags. I had to put them in separate bags. They stayed behind and helped me even tho they had to go somewhere. Honestly the angles was in the post office today. I feel so blessed and grateful to me served with such beautiful understanding. They was so helpful and made my move so much better.

Terrible place. They have sent me a package for another person. After several frustrating attempts to call Australia Post to return the package, they said to me that I had to go to this office, ridiculous. They especulate that I will care about the person who is not getting his package. I went to the office, after an endless line, a very bad mannered person attended me, and after my complain about how unfair was to have to go there to ammend someone else error, he responded something like "tell it to someone who cares about it" Never trust these people

I went to collect a parcel of mine and they refused to give me it because I had no photo ID on me. I offered to show them a photo of my passport and License that I had on my phone and also my social media accounts to confirm it was me. I also said what address the parcel was supposed to be sent to and my phone number but they refused. This is ridiculous procedure, who else would try and collect a parcel with a photo of my ID and proof of my address and phone number? So silly!

DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE - A THIEF WORKS HERE. I posted something of high value for repair to the US. I used an international express tracked service and the item never made it out of this Post Office according to the tracking. Whilst I had insured the item, this item had sentimental value so the insurance was very little compensation and AusPost did nothing to determine what happened to my item. AusPost protects the thieves that work for them. AusPost did pay out the insurance but really isn’t the point given I didn’t insure it so a thief at the Post Office could steal it. It’s absolutely disgusting and I cannot stress enough to not trust this Post Office. Theft is a big issue with AusPost in general in my experience and I’ve had at least 4 deliveries in the last 6 months that never made it. This was by far the worst and most obvious case of theft out of all of them and AusPost have done nothing to even try to find out what happened and just protect these awful people. Please do not use this shop and encourage others to avoid it when sending anything, especially if it is of value as it’s likely to be “lost in transit” despite never leaving the building (I would have given this review 0 stars but to review you have to leave at least 1 - as you can imagine I do not rate this Post Office 1 star or even close to that good).

Thursday morning received a msm stating my item was gonna be delivered that day. Stayed at home waiting for it. Checked the status several times during the day until about past 5pm. The status was stating the same “will be delivered today”. Next notification next day at 7am “item to be collected from Post Office”. Went today twice. A cue of about 50 people both times. The ones I asked had the same experience. What a disgrace of Delivery Service. Charging for a service that they don’t provide and it’s been happening for years. Managers should be held accountable for fraud and compensate the hundreds of people who are spending their time and money for something that has already been paid.

This is the nicest building in bondi, it used to be a surf shop but that ran out of money. This post office is high tech. They have tv screens and lockers. It turns into a secret rave bar every second Friday night. Not many people know this but Australia post have the best DJs

After a 3 weeks delay, Auspost never ever tried to deliver my item, the driver lied about attempting delivery on a Sunday morning, I was there, no contact whatsoever and no card left, the driver just lied to clear up his workload on the weekend and took it to the Bondi post office the next day. Funny how Fedex and Amazon have no such problems, their drivers deliver in 48 hours. I then tried to pick my item from the post office in Bondi, there were at least 150 people in line around the block and inside, so 1 or 2 hour wait, many people maskless, coughing, sneezing inside the store, no mask enforcement, no QR code, or any form of security or crowd control at the door. It is simply not possible to pick an item from the Australian Post Bondi office without a serious Covid risk. What a miserable experience. Shame on Australia Post for endangering the lives of Australians by forcing people to gather in such unsafe conditions and creating super spreader events.

I almost always go here just to collect parcels. The technology available for this service is over 100 years old. The staff is friendly enough if you're willing to wait in line for 15 - 45 minutes for the most basic requirement. Its only available to people about 45 / 168 hours per week like we're still in the middle ages or something.

The amount of times I have come here to pick up parcels, wait in line for an hour and have the staff tell me my parcel isn’t there. Only to go back later wait another hour insisting it is and have the staff say “oh It shouldn’t have been in that area sorry” or some other made up excuse... they need a better system. Parcel lockers, more staff an area just for parcel collect who knows but this is an exhausting experience every single damn time!!

I went to pick up a parcel I redirected there. My turn I get to the counter and I show my ID and the email as mentioned on that email. The employee (about 35yo I guess, asian appearance) asked me if that was my address (I moved about 1 year ago so I have a sticker on the back with my new address) so I turned the ID and showed her the current address - “why did you show me that then??” She asked me rudely - “I thought you wanted to check my name” I replied. She checked my face against the photo that I would get less control in an airport. She went at the back and came back few minutes later “this wasn’t directed to your address but to parcel collect here” she said, rudely again. “It’s the first time I redirect my parcel to a post office, I don’t know the right dynamic - it’s not my job, it’s YOURS, I thought - the email says to proceed to the counter (btw I did half hour queue so I was meant to be upset, not HER in case) and to show the ID so I did”. She didn’t even let me finish to say and she called the next person. Don’t hire people who don’t want to work there, I’m sure a lot of people would appreciate the job way more than she does. Considering her job is in customer service and considering her lack of politeness and good service all around, I still don’t know what I am meant to do next time I redirect a parcel.

After a situation arose that needed me to travel overseas at a moments notice, I was denied my passport renewal request at this post office. It was deemed 'too risky' (her words) and then the manager informed me that the two day turnaround (which they would charge an $111 extra fee on top of $250- which I was happy to pay) would in fact take 5 days. What a load of rubbish. How do I know this? I walked to Bondi road post office, where the courteous, professional staff handled my request with ease and an excellent level of service. 10 minute walk apart and you cannot believe this is meant to be the same public business. If service, professionalism, customer care and courtesy is important to you, avoid the Bondi beach post office at all costs, and go see the brilliant staff up the road. How ridiculous- but true!
