Use to be a beautiful post office, family run and the kind of place you wanted to go for everything. The new owners have been in for well over 2 years and are still as dry, rude, and impersonal as ever. Horrible. We now go to Golden Grove Post office instead. Bit further, but worth it.

If no stars was an option I assure you I would choose that. The service here was the worst I have received in a long time. After being in line for 15 minutes of my time here I was refused service as it had shut while I was in line inside the store. I am truly disgusted. Very much recommend using St Agnes Post Office instead.

Consistently the worst service I have ever had at a post office. Parcels are never there when I go to collect after a note is left on the day and there seems to be no concern whatsoever, I wish there was an alternative so that I never had to rely on them again. If I ran my business the way that they do I would be broke

AUSTRALIA POST SHOULD NOT LET THIS POST OFFICE OPERATE UNDER THEIR NAME ā­ļøDO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE ā­ļø unless you want to pay up to $8 more on a satchel/ parcel , you love poor non existent customer serviceā€¦ I have lived literally 5 mins from this post office for the last 13 years I will intentionally and happily drive further to use another post office for any transactions.. They have consistently overcharged me on shipping fees ,which has added up to $100s of dollars in the past couple of years as I began selling online regularly, not once did they recommend getting an Australia Post business account so shipping would get increasingly cheaper but to keep records. They lied and said I could not send anything thicker than a piece of paper in a prepaid tracked Australia post envelope,. The list is endless ā€¦ Today I had to pick up a parcel for my son so I thought Iā€™d give them another go.. they tried to charge me $20.70 to send a vinyl record..šŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜” Iā€™ve sent many albums in the past few months Iā€™ve never been charged more than $12.70 at any of the 3 other post offices Iā€™ve usedā€¦ So I angrily informed them of this and the fact they have consistently overcharged meā€¦ Then as I went next door to Foodland an older lady approached me and said she couldnā€™t help but hear ā€¦and told me that she too was only there because she had to pick up a parcel, but she had also had the same experience being overcharged constantly, in fact the last time she used them she was sending a padded envelope and they tried charging her by cubing parcels prices which is considerably more, only that she had owned a post office previously that she caught them and knew what they were doing, and told them there was no way , they could do it, nor was she going to pay it..and hasnā€™t used them since.. There are a lot of older people in this area , I dread to think how many of them are being overcharged regularly..

I don't go to Surry Downs post office because I don't enjoy being overpaid for postage. Other post offices are so much more helpful and advise on the cheapest way to post items.

Worst post office ever. All staff need training in customer service. Rude owner just slammed the door shut in my daughters face saying we're close at 4:59pm. If I could get my parcels redirected to golden grove I would. No regard for working people at all. Why not open until 5:30?

Go to any one of the other nearby post offices at TTP, Golden Grove, Greenwith, St Agnes or Modbury Nth if possible. I avoid going here since the current operators took over. Attempted to overcharge me for posting a padded envelope even though I passed their measurement test. Told my elderly mother to "look it up online" when she asked a question. All the other negative reviews speak for themselves - take your business elsewhere! EDIT: Just to be clear - our local postie is exceptionally friendly and thoughtful!

Never answer their telephone. Opening hours are not user friendly to people who work. Do not have parcel drop. Still pay full price for a Post Office Box but no alternate to get the mail. Previous owners way more accommodating!

I dont like to leave 1 star review, but I really hope post office takes these reviews into consideration. I come to this post office quite often because is close to my house. Anyway the customer service is really poor, they dry and not very welcoming. I feel nervous talking to them and I always try to talk to them with smile but they dont. Not friendly at all. Australia post please fix this.

I donā€™t like leaving negative feedback, but these new owners need to learn some customer service skills. My 1st day back to work I grabbed my parcel card to collect my package, Iā€™ve been collect stationary there for years now. Had a quick look on the back of the card and it didnā€™t require me to bring any ID. So I raced into the post office to collect what I know are my Eftpos rolls for work. The gentlemen behind the counter took my card and asked if I had ID, I stated no, as the card wasnā€™t ticked noting I needed to bring it in for this collection. He said Iā€™m sorry we need ID. Then the new owner stepped in and said, No ID no Parcel, then we went head to head for the next 20 minutes. Trying to explain to the owner I live 20 minutes away, I canā€™t race back home and return as Iā€™ll be very late for work. I didnā€™t bring ID for a parcel with my work details as itā€™s not required on the card, he couldnā€™t care less, I offered him some option to call my work for proof of ID he wouldnā€™t, telling him I know whatā€™s in the parcel, wouldnā€™t even try to work out an option for me. He was quite happy for me to call Australia Post to make a formal complaint so I did. Simple fact if the parcel card specific to bring required ID I would have. Iā€™ll never step foot in there again!

Front door open, 2 cars at the house, card pushed right through letterbox onto driveway instead of trying to knock at the door, card says "you can pick your parcel up after 3.30pm". Sadly, no notification that you shut at 4!

we regularly send various size items nationwide & worldwide,was a regular customer with previous proprietors & never had issues.These new guys seem incapable or incompetent in being able to handle things properly,four maybe five now times ended up going to other locations where our parcels are processed in minutes.Then overcharge you when THEY make a mistake go to Golden Grove instead
