The thing that lets this place down is the attitude of some (not all) of the staff. I write this review as a local resident who has cause to attend the post office regularly. I have had several negative experiences here. Sour and unwilling is how I would describe some of the staff. They seem so put out and inconvenienced by having to do anything more than sell an envelope. Donāt get me wrong, a couple of staff are more than pleasant to deal with, but I keep getting the same old poor customer service to the point where now I just save all my post office tasks for when Iām in another town. On one occasion there was a document that needed to be processed. The staff member thought it couldnāt be processed. I pointed out why that was not right, and after a phone call to the receiving agency I was proven right. That should have been it, but for some reason the staff member just seemed determined to one-up me after that. I was sent away to rectify a trivial issue that they could have assisted me with at the desk in seconds. When I returned, the staff member served the people in front of me until it was my turn, looked at me, then went for lunch. I was told they were the only one who could process the forms and I would have to come back in an hour. The staff member telling me that oozed this smugness that told me this was pre planned. Another staff member there has a shockingly unprofessional attitude and I genuinely believe they are actually oblivious to it. Ill make it to the desk, ask for help with something and be met with āI donāt do thatā. Rather than get someone who can help, they expect you to queue up again and hope your turn lands on the staff member who can. Overall, the place seems to lack effective management.
