I had the pleasure of dealing with Francesca at the Australia Post office in the Melbourne GPO, and I cannot say enough good things about her. It was during July 2022, that I needed to process the entire family's passport applications, and Francesca was incredibly helpful and efficient throughout the process. Not only did she answer all of my questions and concerns with patience and kindness, helped me make an optimal decision regarding passport fees and collection. She also made sure to double check all of the paperwork and documents to ensure everything was in order. This attention to detail and dedication to customer service is truly rare, and I am extremely grateful to have had such a positive experience at the Melbourne GPO. Francesca is a true asset to Australia Post, and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of assistance at the Melbourne GPO. Very unwelcoming service experienced on 15/12/2022 around 4:30 pm at counter 7. Seems like some people of this store needs to be schooled once again. Went for an ID check, arrived at around 4:30 pm and our turn came straight away (as ID Check queue is separate to normal queue). The lady the counter called us, saw that we cane for a Land ID verification, immediately got hyper and scared and said, ‘Oh. this is going to time’ and gave non confident look. We told her, not to worry and she can take her time as we were nit in a rush. Then she tried to find out the procedure, rang the customer care (who as well couldn’t provide any helpful support) The lady was continuously looking at the clock as if she had to run sharp at 5pm. Her colleague (standing onto her immediate right) also tried to tell her which option to select on the computer BUT she decided to continue talking with her customer care over the phone for over 15 minutes. Then she called the manager later (he looked like her senior); and the lady left the counter saying they can not help (which appeared more like she does not want to help actually). She even told us that they are given work which is hard for them. So the lady left us alone at the counter, The manager, said it is after 5, come tomorrow. “What on Earth” The manager’s behaviour was like they don't care for how long the customer stand and wait, they just wanna leave for home asap. Wonder why does he even work if he doesn’t love his job! I’ll try to go to this post office if and when I have stuff for them as easy as singing “abcd”

Super nice and helpful staff. Came in on a busy Monday and staff at front was very helpful in directing what I need to do to post my item. Shoutout to Holly at the front desk who was super nice and patient with explaining the steps on how to send my item overseas, showed me what I needed to fillout and to skip the line once done and came back to her to get it paid and posted off. Was super nervous coming in since it was so busy and I didn't know a thing about posting, but the staff really made my day!!

Saturday Morning 9.50 greeted by a young woman Georgie who could not do enough to help everyone an outstanding employee Thank you Georgie. Counter ID 350748 another employee who knew what she was doing and was very efficient. Would have to say I wasn’t expecting too much from Australia Post but these two young woman were exceptional hope Australia Post congratulates them after I left feed back on their website. Wait time was approximately 20 minutes

This particular post office refused my passport application claiming that the photographs won't be accepted by the passport office and demanded that I need to re-take the photographs with them for an extra charge. The staff member was quite rude as noted by many other reviewers. I refused to re-do the photos and went to a different post office, submitted the application with the same photographs and received my new passport without any problems or delays.

I went to send my parcel (ceramic cup) yesterday afternoon and she realised my packaging for the mug was not firm and the mug may be broken during delivery so she was patiently helping me to pack the mug again, it was nearly closing time, really appreciated!!!

I visited this outlet for passport services and the store was nothing less than pure pandemonium. The queues were far and people impatient, diverse in their language skills and each with their own u inquest needs. The staff tirelessly served and assisted each person fairly, patiently and as fast as they could. They were all fantastic especially the passport clerk. I couldn’t do that job, and I have an understanding for the expression “going postal”

My friend delivered my item here at 23 of Sep, and it has no further update after that, it’s nearly 3 weeks, no update, only update is after 10 days, you told me it is delayed, haha, nice. it is just a parcel need to be delivered from city to my home address, only 30km, if no lockdown, I won’t bother you. It is ridiculous, if someone just walk 2km a day, and I should already received my parcel. And your app is absolutely a joke. Shame on you. I would give -5 star if I could.

The queue was pretty big when I came to collect my parcel, and by the time we got to the front it was huge again so I’m guessing it’s just a very busy post office. Staff were friendly and helpful, got my parcel quite quickly once I got to the counter.

Hey why your rookie staff not friendly. I try asking her help me pack my parcel she not happy so I pack myself and borrow tape. I use tape half roll . She let me pay tape new one and buy new roll . Today posting a gift to family overseas. Easy to find bubble mailer and although I had signed the part where it says the contents are not dangerous, a staff member helped me with filling out the proper customs declaration form (small print, I wear reading glasses!). After that, he served me very quickly, which was nice as I hobble about with a walking stick. I thanked him for his service. One suggestion I would like to make is to see some bench seating inside, so that one can rest if needed.

Maybe a unique situation, but I've never posted a letter before and so today I went into this location to ask for the staff's help in doing so. The small Asian lady who manned the desk gave me constant expressions of incredulity and aggressive scowls at having to walk me through such a task, and made me feel entirely unwelcome at the post office. While normally the staff are pretty nice here, this person constantly spoke too quietly to be heard multiple times despite me leaning in and asking her to repeat herself, then ignored me for most of the interaction, and finally shooed me off with her hands towards the end when I asked if everything was alright. Overall I've always though of the post office as a pretty noble institution but today's experience with the staff has really let me down.

0902, 22/03/21. Puzzled as to why this Auspost has such a bad rep. During the Monday morning rush, found that counters were adequately staffed, with wait time reasonable even during peak. Aside from some technical issues during photo taking, good experience. Very pleasant customer service. Didn’t get her name, but I’d like to compliment the lady who served me for a proof-of-age card verification.

I was asking them the reason, no one to help , just let me line up again to ask over and over again. Then the leader is so overweening and said, he is busy, no time to think about the price changed, give you the money you want, is that okay? …. No organized, no system.

Gotta be the slowest most uninterested staff/post office I’ve been to. You could be the first and only person in line and it would still take 15 min to get served as the staff all have a “that’s not my job” stand-off. If you think it’s over once you finally get summoned by the stand off loser, think again! You’ll quickly be reminded that dealing with the public and customer service is deemed optional by the entitled one, good luck!
