Very rude. I have been trying I lodge my sons passport application and went in yesterday, I was advised that all I needed were some signatures, and my drivers licence with my current address so I went away and got said signatures as I had the drivers licence. I went back today and then was asked to bring further proof of residence. The women said she didn’t believe me that I came in the day prior as nothing was ticked on the forms, which was quite rude. I encouraged them to watch the cctv footage and they will see that I came in the day prior. She then asked me to describe who I spoke to and I said it was a women standing at the same counter, that women then popped out of the back room and started screaming at me. Naturally I was frustrated as I was not asked to bring that the day prior so I was a bit firm saying it was frustrating with it not being requested the day prior. The two women started shouting at me in front of all of the other customers saying it was my fault that I didn’t bring the right documents and that the proof of residency was insufficient in my drivers licence. I had to say “I am still a customer so please stop shouting at me” and then continued to say “it’s your fault you are wrong etc etc.” it was an awful experience and staff should be kinder to customers and clearer when explaining requirements to customers so that they don’t have to travel back and forth with multiple attempts at getting documents in. If I was the owner of this post office I would be very concerned about the way in which some staff are with customers as I don’t think I ever want to go back in there!!

This post office is very understaffed. The staff do not have time to properly perform their tasks and continuously look over your shoulder and the significant line which often goes out the door. The post office should either hire more staff or stop offering services they cannot perform such as passport photos.

First time visitor and I was very impressed with the service. I was served by a lady with pink rimmed glasses who was friendly and helpful to everyone there despite being quite busy. Definitely will be using this post office branch from now on!

What can I say, it's a post office. We didn't have to wait long in queue, as I would expect from the average Australia Post, maybe because this store is located on the quieter end of Royal Randwick shopping centre near the gym. Staff were friendly enough.

Rude, condensed & aggressive staff. The newer member or fill in member today (taller larger built man) is uselessly sending people next door to collect their parcels when there was only a small line inside the post office. There are also no signs to indicate there are seperate areas. Frustrating experience.

I would leave no stars if I could! I don’t come to the post office regularly but needed to return an item, I had all the postage receipts ready to go so went up to the counter to be told very rudely that I needed to purchase a bag… so I went and picked up an express post bag as that’s what my postage receipt was “express post” I came back the lady rolled her eyes and told me to go and get the plain bag and pointed back to where I picked up the express post she continued to rudely say and point which bag needed to be picked up until I spoke back to her and asked her to help me and not talk to me rudely… I don’t think I have ever returned something before via the post office so had no idea what she was talking about. She could have come out from behind the counter and helped me rather than yelling at me from behind her counter in front of a line of people. Very very poor customer service!

Hopeless and rude. They did not deliver 3 parcels of wine. Sender usually marks them to leave at the house if no one home. My experience is that on many occasions Australia Post leaves on the front porch without even rigning the bell. On this occasion however, they did not deliver and sent a message to collect at Randwick Post Office. I suppose they expect us to put the boxes in our pockets! My wife attended on a Saturday morning, waited through a long queue. They still refused to deliver. Told her to go online. Refused to do anything to help sort it out while she was there. It was like the old movie where the employee says, "Don't ask me, I just work here." When I rang up today, they refused to engage - citing the "privacy policy" excuse. This is just a dishonest excuse for not taking directions. It's not an infringement of privacy to receive a direction to deliver to the stated address. They kept "apologising" with the most transparent lack of sincerity. A sincere apology is usually accompanied with an offer of amends. An insincere apology is just another insult. There is not the slightest concern for wasting people's time, or for the inconvenience they cause by not doing what they have been paid to do: their core business which is to deliver parcels and letters as directed. My advice: use any courier except Australia Post. They deserve to go broke.

The lazy Australia Post delivery driver couldn’t be bothered buzzing our apartment today, even though we were at home waiting for the delivery. Instead, I get an sms and two emails asking me to collect my parcels from the post office. Lift your game Australia Post. Amazon is the new benchmark, DELIVERING parcels from overseas (even on weekends) quicker and cheaper than Australia Post can deliver locally. They actually deliver the items and offer refunds if they don’t deliver on time. Enjoy your Cartier watches 👎🏼

The service in this office is always mediocre and the way they treat people is far from what I would call friendly. I completed my passport application at this post office 3 weeks ago. I asked about the fast option BUT these people told me it takes 3 weeks so I shouldn't worry (confirmed information on their website). I haven't given any sort of notice about my passport so far so I went today to ask and I was aggressively told to ask in the government website because "now it's 6 weeks". When I explained that I paid a service to them so I expected them to commit to that time frame or at least get some information/help, the "lady" kept her rude tone and avoided any responsibility by repeating over and over "6 weeks" as if her mantra would magically solve my problem. I have to travel overseas in 3 few weeks, for which I have to apply for a visa in advance, fill out the flight ticket information (already paid) and get my international covid vaccine certificate. For all this I need my passport, which I don't have because AUSTRALIA POST WORKERS LIED TO ME. Should I cancel my trip now and undo all the respective arrangements I have overseas??

What a disgrace and lack of empathy!! Don't have your overseas relatives send you stuff through AusPost! They pay so much money and AusPost doesn't even attempt to deliver. If so they most certainly don't notify you of an attempt (leaving the card saying they tried and the package is now in post office). 2 packages sent from Europe as surprise - the first one got to me by lucky accident of my flatmate picking up from post office. The other one by my deliberate multiple attempts and visits to post office to finally retrieve it! Even the gentleman in the post office wouldn't try to help without tracking number (which i didnt have as it was surprise parcel). He had the address and claimed nothing came. I would never imagine such horrendous service.

I’m shocked at how rude the staff are here. They have a new closed time 2-330 and a man had a 230 appointment so was upset he had to wait around for an hour. He was told over the phone it was for a lunch break. The post office lady told him to stop wingeing about it as he “had the wrong information” and she could “hear him wingeing outside”. I felt so sorry for him. He was there for death certificate filling out.

Then I came to try to pick it up in store three times because they kept changing their hours, and then I waited in a line of 30 people (indoors) because they decided to close for an hour at lunchtime as a "safety measure" (How is that a safety measure?? Designate a line for pick up a line for retail and make photos by appointment, its like watching ladies move in slowmotion. And the slips being left in the mail box during a pandemic is inexcusable! I needed a JP to certify a simple 2 page document. After waiting a considerable time in queue I was rudely told that there is a charge for the service. I mentioned that a JP is not suppose to charge a service fee. The staff member continued speaking in a rude tone and insisted that they charge a fee. I went to my chemist instead.

They won’t look for my packet because they are only 5 mins left for their close. They asked for only passport and they won’t look at all other photo licenses included driving license, student id. I wonder how would those who don’t have a passport get their packet.

Disappointingly the only post office option in my area. Sometimes fine as staff here are transactional minded, not the greatest experience but it works... the problem is some staff show a lot of attitude. I've been waiting 3 weeks for an order I purchased with "express delivery". Found out the order showed up at this post office a week ago and I wasn't alerted. Went in to pick it up, but my wallet was stolen so I used my passport. I was aware they're not kind about passport usage, so I politely explained my situation. Im asked in monotone "What's your address?" Which I assumed she meant my address on file since I didn't have proof with my ID and she was just staring at the PC. It's different to my delivery address because I wanted to send it to my workplace. Without a word she goes looking for my package, at that point I realized why she asked for the address. She comes back and I apologise telling her the address she's looking for. Politeness doesn't seem to matter to your disgruntled workers, she rolled her eyes, got the package and shoved it in my face; "here". I left feeling like i wasn't welcome... but I have another order due this week, and I'm positive the delivery will be sent to the office.

Terrible customer service- Had collected a package the day before with ID on my phone as my passport etc had been stolen and showed a valid debit card- only to be told today when I went in to collect my passport that I was not able to collect it! I had been allowed to get a parcel just the day before- the lady who served me denied it all and made me look like I was lying. Absolute rubbish and will be reporting further.

Will never use this post office again- I needed an international envelope for an urgent document that needed to be mailed from the police station- but I arrived 2 min after 13h00 after getting lost as I'm from overseas. They wouldnt sell me one envelope ! So now the documents will be days late as Monday is a public holiday !!!
