Having lived in the area for the last twenty plus years Mikhail has been the most amazing postmaster around! Always courteous and endeavoring to manage everyones time accordingly! Still cant believe that anyone can give less than five star review! Guess if you've just moved into the area and not used to standing in a queue, then good old fashioned service isnt for you! Keep up the great work Mikhail!

Mikhail is always smiling when I enter his store no matter how busy he may be. For a small post office that he runs himself he does an impeccable job. I have seen him first hand deal with difficult customers and I would say he handles himself with patience and professionalism. I have also completed a passport application form through his post office with no problems at all and received it very promptly. Great job Mikhail and I definitely would not hesitate to recommend your post office at all!!

Small post office in Deepdene which can be quite busy depending on time of day - I have to say I am surprised with some of the earlier reviews regarding passport service. I found the service to be excellent and the gentleman processing my two children’s passport applications to be very helpful and detailed oriented to make sure all information was correct before submitting. I would not hesitate to recommend this post office for processing passport applications but make sure you give yourself plenty time and read all forms carefully and have relevant documents available before lining up as it’s easy to overlook key information which can send you home to fix up.

Horrible customer service, I was told to wait until the shop is empty to be served as my transaction would take 10 minutes (it took about 3 minutes in the end), despite me being a paying customer. I don't think the man there understands how a queue works because for some reason he thinks he gets to pick and choose the order of it. He said, and I quote, "you want me to upset 20 people behind you just to serve you first? Why do you think you get to go before other people" I said that I have been waiting in the queue just like everyone else and don't deserve to be pushed to the back. Furthermore there were only 2 people behind me at the time, not 20. Then he kept saying, and again I quote, "I can't afford to upset other people just to serve you, if you don't like it then go somewhere else next time".

I had a fantastic service from Mikhail when I went to collect the parcel that was left in the post office because of door lock. Twice this has happened and I have seen him working patiently with his clients and with a very pleasant attitude.

Terrible service.... Don't go there if you are submitting a Passport application. Tried to submit a passport application there and have been told that the passport photo is not good which the photo was taken from a passport photo shop. Handed back everything to me straight away which makes me feel like the guy at the post office doesn't want to spend time to review the application, perhaps there are other 3 people in the line. Submitted at Glenferrie Post office on the same day with the same photo, no problem and now I have the passport.

We can't understand the negativity in some of those reviews - our experience at the Deepdene Post Office (and we are frequent users) has always been positive; friendly, helpful, patient service and a credit to Australia Post. The person who complained about an episode three weeks ago puts that in the days just before Christmas when every post office is under stress.

DON'T NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY GO ELSEWHERE The most disgusting service I have ever experienced. I was trying to lodge a passport application after making an appointment to do so online. The man serving me was not only incredibly rude and dismissive even after I had made an effort to be friendly chripy etc but completely unhelpful in completing my application. As a previous post mentioned he deemed that my passport photos were not up to standard even though I had gotten them done through officeworks who use specific software to insure they meet passport standards. I asked him to explain to me how they didn't meet the standards to just have him repeat himself. Just like the other reviewer went to Kew East PO with no problems at all submitting with the same photos. There was no one else in the shop at the time and so I took the opportunity to ask why he was so unhelpful and rude, if he is like this all the time with other customers or if it was just me and he responded with 'it's just you' which would have been so funny if it wasn't so shocking with no one there to witness it. I laughed and said good luck with your business it seems to be booming, funk (no swears on these thanks google) you very much and walked out. Don't support a business run by a pathetic tiny minded man who maybe only wants to serve other tiny minded men....women you know the vibe stay away from this one ;)
